In one sentence

AI content disclosure explained: when and how to label AI-generated text and images — legal duties in the EU and China and good practice.

Example

A company marks AI-generated product visuals with Content Credentials and adds a note to its knowledge base: “Answers are generated by AI from our documentation.”

Why it matters on your learning path

  • Technical writers: Say when readers interact with AI (for example a chatbot) and where answers come from.
  • Technical marketers: Disclosure rules differ by jurisdiction and platform; the EU AI Act requires labeling of deepfakes and certain AI-generated text, China requires labels on AI-generated content.
